State-owned utility and state government sign pact to collaborate on thermal, renewables, storage, e-mobility and green hydrogen
A state-owned power utility and a state government signed a memorandum to explore opportunities in conventional and non-conventional energy, formalised at a regional conference in the state. The pact targets collaboration across thermal, hydro, solar, wind and emerging technologies including electric mobility, battery and pumped hydro storage, waste-to-energy, nuclear and green hydrogen. The utility, which supplies about one-quarter of national power and has over 83 GW installed capacity with roughly 30.9 GW under construction, reiterated a commitment to reach 60 GW of renewable capacity by 2032 to support national net-zero goals.
