<h1>Prime Minister touts renewable and nuclear energy projects, blames past government for power gaps and other failures</h1> The prime minister accused the former ruling party of neglecting electricity access, saying millions of households and thousands of villages lacked connections before 2014, and asserted that increasing power production and leading in clean energy are essential for 21st-century development. He inaugurated and laid foundations for renewable, water, power, road and infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,22,100 crore, including a 2,800 MW nuclear power plant costing Rs 42,000 crore. He also attacked the previous administration on taxes, inflation, corruption, exam paper leaks and crimes against women, urged a Swadeshi/Aatmanirbhar buying ethos, and credited the current government with improved law and order and accelerated development.
