<h1>State launches universal cashless health insurance offering up to Rs 10 lakh per family, registration via Aadhaar and voter ID</h1> The state government commenced registration in two districts for a newly approved universal health insurance scheme providing cashless treatment up to Rs 10 lakh per family. Cabinet approval was granted July 10 and rollout begins with 132 registration camps; registration requires Aadhaar and voter ID and has no income eligibility criteria. Benefits extend through government and over 500 empanelled hospitals and cover more than 2,000 procedures and surgeries. An initial budgetary allocation of Rs 930 crore has been made for implementation. The scheme is presented as statewide entitlement for all families.
