<h1>CISF deploys initial 120 commandos to provide armed perimeter, screening and quick reaction security at new Noida International Airport</h1> The Central Industrial Security Force has assumed statutory security responsibility for the upcoming Noida International Airport, deploying an initial contingent of about 120 commandos under an authorized strength of 1,047 to provide counter-terrorism cover, armed perimeter and access control, passenger and baggage screening, terminal and landside security, and quick reaction teams; deployment will be scaled with operational needs as passenger traffic grows. The greenfield airport has completed Phase 1 aeronautical infrastructure (one runway, one terminal with 12 million annual capacity) and is slated for inauguration on October 30 with flight operations to commence shortly thereafter.
