FEMA searches at six premises uncover alleged undisclosed foreign assets worth over Rs 80 crore, cash and records seized
Law enforcement conducted FEMA searches at six premises linked to promoters of a Himachal-based aerospace and real estate group probing alleged undisclosed foreign assets and financial interests. Authorities seized financial statements, records and foreign bank passbooks and estimate foreign assets exceeding Rs 80 crore across Singapore, Dubai, the British Virgin Islands and Thailand. Investigators allege beneficial stakes in a Singapore company and a Dubai entity that reportedly purchased a helicopter imported into India; a villa in Thailand valued at about Rs 16 crore; and that part of a Rs 29 crore sale consideration for domestic flats was received in cash. Cash of Rs 50 lakh (plus USD 14,700) was seized, three lockers frozen and incriminating records recovered.
