State-owned gas firm to supply 31,000-43,000 SCMD to steelmaker's Combi-Mill via 23km CGD pipeline, ensuring reliable fuel, cutting carbon
A state-owned gas company agreed to supply a steel manufacturer's Combi-Mill plant under a City Gas Distribution project in East Singhbhum, commencing end-September. The contract provides 31,000 standard cubic metres per day (SCMD) through March 2026, scaling to 43,000 SCMD thereafter. The supplier commissioned a 23-kilometre pipeline to connect the plant and described the deal as its largest industrial onboarding since its CGD rollout. The arrangement is intended to ensure reliable fuel for manufacturing, support expansion of regional gas infrastructure, and help reduce the steelmaker's carbon footprint.
