of <h1>National education platform to expand 1,000 campus Student Financial Aid Offices by March 2026, disbursed Rs 630 crore</h1> A national education-funding platform announced expansion of campus-based Student Financial Aid Offices (SFAOs) to centralize scholarships, government schemes, fee waivers and education loans, having disbursed over Rs. 630 crore to 137,000+ scholars and targeting 1,000 SFAOs by March 2026. SFAOs will be hosted by institutions and NGOs, staffed by trained institutional counsellors, and link students to partner banks/NBFCs offering collateral-free loans up to Rs. 20 lakh and corporate/philanthropic scholarships. The model is represented as enhancing institutional compliance with national accreditation and funding frameworks (NAAC, NIRF, NEP, AICTE, RUSA) and strengthening outreach, inclusion and alumni endowment mechanisms.
