Government launches comprehensive digital reforms to unify land records, enable paperless registration, demarcation portal and WhatsApp chatbot
The state government will launch comprehensive digital reforms in its Revenue Department to digitise land and property transactions, introducing paperless registration that unifies Jamabandi, mutation, cadastral maps and registry data into a single system to speed up and secure registrations. Measures include a demarcation portal for time-bound boundary marking, a WhatsApp chatbot for citizens to access land records and tax details, and a pilot Revenue Court Case Management System to expedite mutation, partition and boundary cases. Large-scale mapping and Tatima updation projects will support accurate records, and officials were directed to clear pending mutations via public village-level camps.
