At a national conference hosted by the central narcotics agency, the home minister called for intensified action against three identified cartel types-international entry-point operators, inter-state distributors, and local street-level sellers-and initiated destruction of seized narcotics valued at Rs 4,794 crore. The agency highlighted increased interagency cooperation with tax, customs, regulatory and financial authorities to trace diversion networks and strengthen prosecution and prevention efforts.
