<h1>India and Israel sign bilateral investment agreement guaranteeing investor protections, free transfers, compensation, arbitration boosting tech and finance cooperation</h1> The Governments of India and Israel executed a Bilateral Investment Agreement in New Delhi establishing reciprocal investor protections, including minimum standard of treatment, safeguards against expropriation, transparency obligations, free transfer of funds, and compensation mechanisms for losses, while preserving each State's regulatory policy space. The treaty provides for independent dispute resolution by arbitration. Parties intend the agreement to stimulate bilateral investment (currently about USD 800 million) and deepen cooperation on fintech, infrastructure, financial regulation, digital payments, cybersecurity and high-technology sectors, with commitments to enhance economic and financial collaboration.
