<h1>ED conducts fresh PMLA searches over alleged large-scale diversion of District Mineral Fund via state seed corporation</h1> The Enforcement Directorate conducted fresh searches under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in connection with an investigation into alleged misappropriation of District Mineral Fund money in Chhattisgarh, covering at least 18 premises linked to vendors, contractors and alleged middlemen. Authorities allege large-scale diversion of DMF funds via a state seed corporation. The probe follows the ED taking cognisance of three FIRs by state police accusing contractors, in collusion with state officials and political executives, of siphoning government funds; the agency had carried out earlier searches in the same matter.
