<h1>State Govt Allocates Rs 88.50 Crore Fodder Subsidy for 605 Cow Shelters, Boosts Solar Power Installations</h1> The state government released a fodder grant of Rs 1.80 crore for 19 cow shelters and announced a total fodder subsidy of Rs 88.50 crore for 605 shelters statewide. Over the past decade, subsidies totaling Rs 358.50 crore have been provided to registered shelters, a significant increase from Rs 270 crore previously. The budget for the relevant state commission has grown from Rs 2 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 595 crore currently. The number of registered shelters has risen from 215 to 686, with cattle numbers increasing from 1.75 lakh to nearly four lakh. Additionally, solar power installations have been completed in 330 shelters, with plans to expand this to all remaining shelters.
