<h1>Legislators Form Assembly Body to Boost MSMEs and Drive Economic Growth Through Section 12 Powers</h1> A group of legislators representing 20 industrial centers in Uttar Pradesh has formed an assembly-level body to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promote economic growth. Modeled after a similar parliamentary group at the national level, this new group aims to leverage legislative powers to address systemic issues faced by MSMEs. The group seeks to facilitate cooperation between political leadership and MSMEs to overcome institutional inertia and promote formalization and expansion of small businesses. A national MSME federation will provide secretariat support to the group, replicating its role at the central level. The initiative reflects a political commitment to using legislative mechanisms to resolve longstanding challenges confronting MSMEs and enhance the state's economic development.
