<h1>Dairy cooperative leader elected unopposed as GCMMF chairman, vice chairman also chosen without contest</h1> A dairy cooperative leader was elected unopposed as chairman of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which operates the Amul brand. Another individual was simultaneously elected unopposed as vice chairman. The elections took place during a federation meeting in Anand, Gujarat, with the district collector serving as election officer. No other nominations were received for either position. The elections were required as the previous office-bearers' two-and-a-half-year tenure was ending. The newly elected chairman previously led Mehsana District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union, while the vice chairman headed Rajkot District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union. GCMMF comprises 18 cooperative dairies across Gujarat and serves approximately 36 lakh dairy farmers. The new chairman pledged to work toward the federation's continued growth.
