<h1>Maharashtra signs Rs 31,955 crore MoUs for pumped storage hydroelectric projects generating 6,450 MW power</h1> The Maharashtra government signed four MoUs with private companies for pumped storage hydroelectric projects worth Rs 31,955 crore, generating 6,450 MW power and creating 15,000 jobs. Projects will be located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Amravati, Kolhapur, and Ratnagiri districts. The state aims to achieve over 50% renewable energy by 2030 and targets 1,00,000 MW pumped storage capacity. With these agreements, Maharashtra now has 50 total projects with 68,815 MW combined capacity, Rs 3.75 lakh crore investment, and potential for 1.11 lakh jobs.
