State government plans temple treasury inventory in August with RBI experts after conservation work completion
The state government plans to conduct an inventory of the temple treasury in August following completion of conservation work by the Archaeological Survey of India. The Law Minister announced that the Reserve Bank of India will be requested to provide experts experienced in auditing temple treasures. The inner chamber was last opened in 1978, and a high-level committee headed by a retired High Court judge will oversee the process. The 1978 inventory recorded approximately 128 kg of gold and over 200 kg of silver. The government also plans to create new ornaments for the deities through public gold donations, fulfilling an election promise.
