The project will upgrade approximately 46.7 km of existing two-lane highway to four-lane configuration using Hybrid Annuity Mode. The upgrade aims to address traffic congestion on the current route connecting major cities and religious centers. The project is expected to boost regional economic growth, enhance tourism connectivity, and generate approximately 8.4 lakh direct employment person-days and 10.45 lakh indirect employment opportunities.
