<h1>Observer status for ICAO expert granted in aircraft accident probe, reinforcing international standards compliance and technical transparency.</h1> Observer status has been accorded to an ICAO expert to participate as an observer in the ongoing investigation conducted under the Annex 13 framework of the Chicago Convention. The AAIB convened a multidisciplinary team, led by its chief and including aviation medicine and ATC specialists and external safety board representatives. Black box data extraction and analysis of the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder are in progress to support technically rigorous fact-finding and transparency.
