<h1>Public-private collaboration for a national creative technology institute spurred by industry letters of intent, advancing AVGC XR skilling and innovation.</h1> The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is establishing the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) as a National Centre of Excellence for the AVGC XR sectors, operating initially from Mumbai facilities equipped with specialised labs and studios. Several global firms have exchanged Letters of Intent to collaborate with IICT on training, technology and industry engagement, and discussions with the international intellectual property community aim to support creator protections. A planned second phase will develop a dedicated campus to expand teaching, research and production capabilities, while WAVES will function as a platform linking creators with investors and buyers to enable commercialization and sectoral growth.
