<h1>Fire service modernisation: major funding allocated to upgrade equipment, stations, control room and emergency response capabilities.</h1> The government committed a major budget allocation to modernise the city fire service through procurement of specialised vehicles and equipment, comprehensive inspection and upgrade of existing apparatus, construction of new stations in under-served areas, and operational modernisation including a fully computerised control room with computer-aided dispatch, real-time tracking, vehicle surveillance, a GIS-based centralised portal, staff recruitment and advanced training for high-risk operations.
