NaBFID and New Development Bank partner to finance infrastructure projects for clean energy and transportation
The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the New Development Bank (NDB) to establish a strategic framework for cooperation in infrastructure financing. The partnership aims to bridge financing gaps and explore long-term collaboration opportunities, including technical expertise exchange. Both institutions will focus on clean energy, transportation, sustainable water management, and other infrastructure projects. They will also collaborate on research and capacity-building initiatives through seminars and workshops. NDB, established by BRICS nations, has committed USD 35.6 billion for 108 projects since 2015, while NaBFID was established in April 2021 to accelerate India's infrastructure development.
