        <h1>Petroleum price adjustment recommended to enable gradual diesel deregulation and align subsidies for LPG and kerosene.</h1> Adjustment of petroleum product prices on a regular basis is recommended as an incremental pathway toward diesel deregulation, and the Ministry of Finance has forwarded actionable points of the Kelkar Committee report to the Department of Food & Public Distribution for examination. The Committee also urges calibrating affordable subsidy levels for LPG and kerosene, increasing the Maximum Retail Price of urea, improving foodgrain delivery efficiency, and linking Central Issue Price increases to Minimum Support Price increases.
