The details of total quantum of agricultural products exported and imported by the Government during each of the last three years, item-wise and value-wise and revenue generated there from are at Annexure-I.
The Government is taking steps to encourage exports of agriculture products including food grains through various measures and incentives under Foreign Trade Policy from time to time. Incentives are granted after considering various factors including stocks of agriculture products available in the country, surplus over and above the buffer stock norm and strategic reserve requirements, if any, the concerns of food security, availability of agriculture products to common man at reasonable prices and remunerative returns to the grower and price competitiveness in the international market etc.
The export and import of agricultural products including food grains is regulated under Foreign Trade Development Regulation Act. Any instances of irregularity/violation of any provisions of the Act in the export and/or import is dealt as per the provisions of the said Act.

Export regulation of agricultural products ties incentives to domestic stock, food security and market competitiveness. The Government published detailed item wise quantum and value data for agricultural exports and imports over the last three years and states that export incentives under the Foreign Trade Policy are granted after assessing domestic stock levels, buffer norms, food security, consumer availability, grower returns and international competitiveness. Export and import of agricultural products are regulated under the Foreign Trade Development Regulation Act, and any irregularities or violations are dealt with under that Act. of Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
