        <h1>India Allocates Rs. 52,275.55 Crore for 3.45 Crore Farmers Under 2008 Agricultural Debt Waiver Scheme.</h1> The Government of India has released Rs. 52,275.55 crore to benefit 3.45 crore farmers under the Agricultural Debt Waiver and Debt Relief Scheme (ADWDRS) of 2008. This initiative was confirmed by the Minister of State for Finance in response to a query in the Rajya Sabha. Currently, there is no proposal to waive off agricultural loans taken by farmers from nationalized banks. The funds were distributed through the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
