<h1>EV mandate flexibility to support domestic carmakers and a new health data service to accelerate clinical trials.</h1> The Prime Minister announced regulatory relief for domestic carmakers by introducing flexibility in EV mandates, reducing fines and reinvesting any proceeds to support the UK auto industry, while pursuing conditional trade discussions abroad. Concurrently, the government committed to create a Health Data Research Service to provide secure single-point access to national health datasets, streamline researcher access, standardise clinical-trial contracts, cut bureaucracy and publish trust-level data to accelerate trial set-up times.
