        The Union Finance Minister, Shri P. Chidambram will be arriving in Mexico City, Mexico on 3rd November, 2012 in order to participate in G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ meeting. During his visit, the Finance Minister will meet the Mexican CEOs at a reception being hosted by Indian Ambassador to Mexico on the day of his arrival. The next day the Finance Minister along with Governor, RBI Shri D.Subba Rao will attend the session on Global Economy and Framework.

        On 5th November, 2012, the Finance Minister Shri Chidambram along with Governor, RBI and Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance will attend the second session on Financial Regulation and Financial Inclusion, third session on Energy, Commodities and other issues including Climate Finance and Disaster Risk and the last session on International Financial Architecture. The Finance Minister will also attend a Press Conference by G-20 Chair before undertaking his journey back home on the night of 5th November, 2012. The Finance Minister will return to national capital on 7th November, 2012.

        Before his visit to Mexico, the Finance Minister Shri P. Chidambaram will visit Seoul, South Korea to participate in the 3rd Korea-India Finance Ministers’ Meeting which is being held in Seoul today. Mr. Bahk Jae-wan, South Korean Minister of Strategy and Finance and Indian Finance Minister, Shri P. Chidambaram will lead the delegation of their respective countries. During this bilateral meeting, both the leaders will discuss issues of fiscal cooperation and sectoral cooperation including infrastructure cooperation among others. The Finance Minister will later leave for Mexico from Seoul.
