<h1>India's Defence Exports Hit Record Rs 23,622 Crore in 2024-25 with 12% Growth, Aiming for Rs 50,000 Crore by 2029</h1> India's defence exports reached a record Rs 23,622 crore (USD 2.76 billion) in 2024-25, showing 12.04% growth over the previous fiscal year. The Defence Minister announced the country aims to achieve Rs 50,000 crore in defence exports by 2029. Defence Public Sector Undertakings showed a 42.85% increase in exports, while private sector and DPSUs contributed Rs 15,233 crore and Rs 8,389 crore respectively. India exported ammunition, arms, systems and components to approximately 80 countries, with 1,762 export authorizations issued in 2024-25 compared to 1,507 previously. The number of exporters grew by 17.4%, reflecting India's transition from import dependency to self-reliance in defence production.
