With a view of fulfill their socio economic obligations, the Public Sector Oil Companies spent approximately Rs 383.74crore in carrying out various activities under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Schemeduring the financial year 2011-12. ONGC spent the highest amount of Rs. 121.08 crore, followed by IOCL with Rs. 82.73 crore. Oil PSU-wise expenditure is given in the following table:-
