of <h1>Only two mining leases active in Goa: Vedanta Ltd and Fomento Resources. Exports began from Block-I, awaiting Block-V.</h1> Goa's Chief Minister informed the legislative assembly that only two mining leases are currently operational in the state. These are Block-I of Vedanta Ltd at Bicholim and Block-V of Fomento Resources Pvt Ltd at Advalpal. During the financial year 2024-25, 3.78 lakh metric tonnes of iron ore were exported from Goa, with exports having commenced from Block-I but not yet from Block-V. An application for machinery registration was submitted by Vedanta Ltd, and SKK Infra Solutions Private Ltd applied to be a raising contractor at Block-I.
