Penalties exceeding Rs 2 crore were imposed on fee-collecting agencies for incorrect deductions. Errors often occur due to incorrect vehicle registration entries or multiple FASTag readings. Measures like audit cameras and AI are being considered for accurate toll monitoring. Additionally, 393 Wayside Amenities have been awarded, with 94 operational, and Rs 6,661 crore raised through the Toll, Operate, and Transfer Mode. As of March 2025, there are 26,367 public EV charging stations nationwide.
