This was revealed during a budget discussion for the Rural Development Department, which proposed Rs 16,093 crore for the 2025-26 fiscal. An online survey, conducted via the 'Awas Plus App' since January, aims to ensure fair selection and transparency. The PMAY-G, initiated in 2015, seeks to provide affordable housing to the rural poor. Additionally, the JEEViKA project has formed 10.63 lakh self-help groups to empower women from poor families.
