Jammu and Kashmir forms committee to regularize daily wagers, report due in six months. Follows Supreme Court ruling.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister announced the formation of a committee to address the regularization of daily wagers in the region. The committee, led by the Chief Secretary and including various departmental secretaries, will review the number of daily wagers and assess legal and financial aspects for their regularization, with a report due in six months. This initiative follows the Supreme Court's judgment on the issue. Earlier, BJP members staged a walkout from the Assembly amid protests over wage-related issues. There are approximately 67,000 daily wagers in Jammu.
