This initiative aims to make healthcare more affordable, accessible, and equitable, supported by technical and financial aid to states. The Ayushman Bharat program has significantly contributed to timely cancer treatment. Additionally, 22 AIIMS institutions now have full oncology departments, with the largest 700-bed cancer center located at Jhajjar AIIMS. The Gorakhpur AIIMS is fully operational, and a partnership with BHU aims to upgrade its medical college.
