<h1>Cabinet Approves Rs 3,880-Crore Livestock Health Program to Include Affordable Veterinary Medicines Under New Pashu Aushadhi Component</h1> The Cabinet has approved modifications to the Rs 3,880-crore Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme to include the distribution of generic veterinary medicines under the new Pashu Aushadhi component. This initiative, akin to the Jan Aushadi Yojana, aims to provide affordable, high-quality medicines through PM Kisan Samridhi Kendras and Cooperatives. A Rs 75 crore provision is allocated for this purpose. The program, which also includes the National Animal Disease Control Programme, focuses on disease prevention and improving livestock health. Nine states are prepared to be declared Foot and Mouth Disease-free, enhancing milk export potential and boosting farmers' income.
