Approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research, the Centre for Advanced Research on Addictive Behaviours (CAR-AB) will address excessive technology use, recognized as a public health issue. The initiative will involve prevention, screening, and intervention strategies, alongside developing resources for education and health workers. The center aims to reduce stress, depression, and anxiety linked to technology use and plans to create an AI-based model to predict vulnerability. Collaboration with educational institutions will form a national network to tackle these addictions.
