        Anand Sharma to Discuss Industrial Projects, FDI with Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana tomorrow

        The Union Minister for Commerce, Industry and Textiles, Shri Anand Sharma will visit Chandigarh tomorrow to discuss industrial growth in the states of Punjab and Haryana with the respective Chief Ministers.

        Shri Sharma will arrive in Chandigarh tomorrow and will have the meeting with Chief Minister of Punjab, Shri Parkash Singh Badal and later in the day he will meet the Haryana Chief Minister, Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Shri Sharma will be accompanied by a high level delegation from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. During the meetings the industrial projects in the states and issues pertaining to Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor will figure prominently.

        As part of ongoing consultation on FDI related issues including FDI in multi brand retail, Shri Sharma will ascertain the views of the Chief Ministers on the issue. Shri Sharma had already written to Punjab Chief Minister seeking his cooperation on this important initiative which has been put on hold pending further consultation. The Minister is likely to address the press after his meeting with Chief Minister, Haryana in the afternoon.

        In the evening Shri Sharma will interact with the captains of Industry.
