of <h1>Public Invited to Comment on Draft Guidelines for GAAR Implementation u/s 101, Feedback Due by July 20, 2012.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has requested public comments on the Draft Guidelines for implementing General Anti Avoidance Rules (GAAR) under Section 101 of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The guidelines, issued with annexures, are available on various governmental websites. Feedback can be submitted by July 20, 2012. The implementation of GAAR has been postponed to April 1, 2013. A committee led by the Director General of Income Tax (International Taxation) developed these guidelines, which include forms and illustrative examples to clarify GAAR provisions.
