<h1>Supreme Court Pauses NCLAT Order on Supertech Projects; Questions Procedure Under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code</h1> The Supreme Court has stayed an order by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) that appointed state-owned NBCC to complete 16 stalled housing projects of the financially troubled realty firm, Supertech Ltd. The projects, valued at nearly Rs 9,500 crore, are located in various states including Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, affecting around 27,000 homebuyers. The court will review if the NCLAT followed proper procedures under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code in appointing NBCC. Meanwhile, the resolution professional is instructed to continue its duties as per the law, with a hearing scheduled for April.
