Change in Tariff Value of Brass Scrap (All Grades), Poppy Seeds, Gold and Silver Notified
The Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC), being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, vide its Notification No. 50/2012-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated 15th June,2012 ,has made the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated the 3rd August, 2001, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S. O. 748 (E), dated the 3rd August, 2001 and thereby notifying changes in the tariff value of Brass Scrap (all grades), Poppy Seeds, Gold and Silver as shown in the TABLE-1 and TABLE-2 below:

Tariff value revision for specified imports: brass scrap, poppy seeds, gold and silver notified under customs. CBEC notified an amendment to the customs tariff valuation schedule, revising import valuation for specified goods. The amendment updates Table 1 with commodity unit tariff values per metric tonne-notably setting Brass Scrap (all grades) and Poppy Seeds at revised rates-while Table 2 sets unit tariff values for Gold (per ten grams) and Silver (per kilogram) for imports availing certain notification entries. of Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
