Haryana advances mustard procurement to March 15 for early crop arrival; MSP set at Rs 5,950/quintal.
Haryana Chief Minister directed officials to commence mustard procurement from March 15, earlier than the usual March 28, due to early crop arrival. The state prioritizes farmers' welfare, ensuring all crops are purchased at Minimum Support Price (MSP). This year, mustard cultivation spans 21.08 lakh acres, with an estimated production of 15.59 lakh metric tonnes. The MSP for mustard is set at Rs 5,950 per quintal. To receive this support price, farmers must register on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. Procurement will be managed by HAFED and Haryana State Warehousing Corporation across 108 designated mandis.
