<h1>Himachal Pradesh Allocates Rs 150 Crore for Road Safety Equipment, AI Cameras, and Awareness Programs</h1> A budget of Rs 150 crore has been allocated for road safety equipment in four police districts in Himachal Pradesh: Shimla, Nurpur, Mandi, and Kangra. This includes Rs 90 crore for 3,373 pieces of equipment, with over 1,200 already distributed. Shimla has received Rs 60 crore for an integrated road safety enforcement system, linked to AI-based cameras. Additionally, 27 motorcycles, 42 four-wheelers, 14 interceptors, and 10 wreckers will be provided for road safety. A Mass Action Plan and Good Samaritan Law awareness program are underway, alongside a 10-year Safe Road Investment Plan. Accidents have decreased by 6.48% from 2023 to 2024.
