<h1>NITI Aayog Report Highlights Top Achievers and Aspirational States in Higher Education Enrolment; Calls for Reforms</h1> Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kerala have been recognized as top achievers in gross enrolment ratio (GER) in higher education for 2021-22, as per a NITI Aayog report. Chhattisgarh, Nagaland, Jharkhand, and Bihar were categorized as aspirational due to low GER. Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh showed significant decadal growth in GER. The report highlighted disparities in college and university densities, with Karnataka leading in college density and Sikkim in university density. It recommended enhancing equitable access to higher education and suggested reforms in governance and funding for state public universities.
