<h1>Deadline for e-KYC Verification of Ration Cards Set for February 15; Non-compliance Will Result in Benefit Loss</h1> The Odisha food supplies and consumer welfare minister announced that the deadline for e-KYC verification of ration cards will not be extended beyond February 15. Individuals failing to update their e-KYC will lose their ration card benefits under the Public Distribution System (PDS). Approximately 37.85 lakh people have yet to complete the update, and about 8 lakh individuals, including government employees, have fraudulently obtained ration cards. The cancellation of these cards will also affect their eligibility for state-provided health services. The minister urged ineligible beneficiaries to surrender their cards and others to complete the e-KYC process at local centers.
