<h1>Western Carriers (India) Ltd wins Rs 1,089 crore contract from Vedanta for transporting aluminium and pig iron.</h1> Western Carriers (India) Ltd, a Kolkata-based logistics firm, has secured a Rs 1,089 crore contract from Vedanta Limited to transport aluminium products, pig iron, and export-import cargo from Vedanta's Jharsuguda facilities in Odisha to domestic and international destinations. The four-year contract, one of the largest in the sector, highlights Western Carriers' expertise in integrating rail, road, and warehousing solutions. The company, which operates over 50 branches, 16 warehouses, and 55 rail handling points across 23 states, reported Rs 1,297 crore in revenue and a net profit of Rs 68 crore for the first nine months of FY25.
