<h1>Union Health Budget 2025-26 Boosts Cancer Care, Adds Medical Seats, Exempts Lifesaving Drugs from Customs Duty</h1> The Union Health Ministry's budget for 2025-2026 has increased by approximately 11% to Rs 99,858.56 crore. The government plans to establish daycare cancer centers in all district hospitals over the next three years, with 200 centers set for 2025-26. Additionally, 10,000 medical college seats will be added next year. Lifesaving drugs for cancer and chronic diseases are exempt from customs duty. Healthcare for gig workers under PM-JAY will benefit nearly 1 crore workers. The AYUSH ministry's budget increased by 14.15%.
