<h1>India's Core Infrastructure Sectors See Slower Growth at 4% in December 2024, Down from 5.1% Last Year</h1> The growth of eight key infrastructure sectors in India slowed to 4% in December 2024, down from 5.1% in December 2023, according to official data. Monthly growth was also lower compared to 4.4% in November 2024. Natural gas production experienced negative growth, while coal, refinery products, fertilizer, and steel saw moderated growth rates. Cement and electricity output increased to 4% and 5.1%, respectively. From April to December 2024, the core sectors' growth was 4.2%, compared to 8.3% in the same period the previous fiscal year. These sectors contribute 40.27% to the Index of Industrial Production.
