Tata Projects to Finish Micron's Semiconductor Facility in Sanand by December 2025, Creating 20,000 Jobs.

Tata Projects is set to complete the construction of Micron Technology's semiconductor assembly and test facility in Sanand, near Ahmedabad, by December 2025. Currently, 60% of the project is finished, with the remaining work on India's first semiconductor plant expected to conclude by year-end. Spanning 50 acres, the facility will be one of the largest backend semiconductor fab units globally, focusing on assembly, testing, marking, and packaging. The project, initiated in July last year, is supported by a workforce of 3,500 and is expected to generate 5,000 direct and 15,000 indirect jobs upon completion.
