ISKCON and Adani Group Serve 100,000 Meals Daily at Maha Kumbh, Focus on Sustainability with No Plastics.
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), in collaboration with the Adani Group, is providing meals to nearly 100,000 people daily at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. ISKCON operates three kitchens, preparing balanced meals including dal, chole, vegetables, and sweets, using traditional clay stoves. Food is distributed at 40 locations, including transit points and to 15,000 cleaning staff. The initiative, supported by 3,000-3,500 volunteers and 100 vehicles from the Adani Group, emphasizes environmental sustainability by avoiding plastic. The partnership has significantly increased ISKCON's capacity to distribute meals, with high enthusiasm from Adani employees participating in the service.
