<h1>Fuel surcharge adjustment reduction sought as utilities must submit action plans to reduce losses and improve billing transparency.</h1> Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission reviewed Annual Revenue Requirement petitions and directed utilities to submit action plans to reduce revenue deficits, cut the Fuel Surcharge Adjustment, and propose cost cutting and efficiency measures. The commission mandated improved billing transparency with prominent display of billing period, consumption, amount and due date. It required the transmission utility to plan reduction of transmission losses and the generation utility to report on fly ash disposal as other income and to present a plan to raise Plant Availability Factor to ninety percent.
