The companies involved fraudulently obtained subsidies totaling Rs. 297 crores by falsely claiming compliance with the guidelines, which require certain components to be manufactured in India. Investigations revealed that these companies imported restricted parts from China. Digital data, books, and other materials were recovered during the searches, and further investigation is ongoing.
